I have yet to see any piece of UTG which I'd actually consider using. Didn't know they were making buffer tubes. With the abundance of quality products out there, not exactly running to get one.

The only two pieces of Tapco I generally recommend are their AK trigger and pistol grip. The rest, eh.

I've never said Olympics aren't accurate. Many are, however, across the board (speaking of dozens of examples) Olys tend to not be RELIABLE.

  2. All ARs have a buffer tube. It's the tube the the stock is connected to.

Their armorer's wrench is pretty nice too.

  3. I should have been more clear. I meant to ask if I need to buy a buffer tube, or if the magpul ctr will fit on the buffer tube that comes with the rifle.

  4. Generally speaking, they're all the same as far as brands go, but there are two sizes. Mil-spec measures 1.148" in diameter and commercial spec measures 1.168" in diameter. There's no benefit of one over the other, so just make sure you buy the stock for which ever tube you have.

  5. thanks, just what I needed to know. Would I need the stock wrench to change the buffer tube? and an extended castle nut?

  6. How so? Because they've earned the reputation.

I've tried using their junk just to prove myself correct. Optic mounts, optics, etc., garbage.

  7. Put mine on the front left in a position where my left thumb is in perfect position to operate it. Very intuitive to use in this orientation.

By the way, bo tach Tactical has the new TLR-1s (strobe) for $108. It is 300 lumen compared to the original TLR-1 having 160 lumen (or there abouts). Very nice light for the money. Love my original, the new one is even better.

It does a little bit, but the setup is still very usable.

  9. good looking rifle, my setup will be similar to that.

  10. That's a real good postion for the light. I just have to figure out how to mount it with the stock handguard. Will probably end up going in the bottom.

  11. This is how I mounted mine. I wanted to put it on a bayonet lug rail adapter but didn't want it getting that hot. Anyway. It's just a magpul add-a-rail type thing.

  12. That's exactly what I want to do. Mind telling me which rail that is?

Bótach Tactical makes a rail that attaches to the bayonet lug
