I'm kinda new to the Modified scene. My gun(to be posted as soon as i get it) is getting its finishing touches.

So i'm getting ready to hit the range, but just a tought. Whats a good loading for a modified gun??

I hear some uses 155g or 170g bullets. which is which?? i use a 3 port hybrid with comp at the end barrel. Not the 6 port. I read some data from IPSC forum. But still need more. para ma.try ko lahat.

So help nalang mga Modified shooters out there.

Gun Ban is coming tom. So at least mag.loading nalang po ako. heheheh.

it really depends on your set up and personal preference. before, i used 180 gr. heads, 6.8 3n37 VV powder. I like the 200 gr. better. i personally feel that the red dot bounces less

the best is to experiment on different loads and to chrono them all. pili ka na lang. good luck!

Hehehe, gotta buy all those heads. Was wondering kung where can we get heads na 155g or 170?? Prefer teflon. para mas malinis yung ports and parts. heard APL of cebu has blackhawk. a bit too expensive for my taste. hehehe.

I'm using VV 3n38 7.0grns and 200grns teflon head oal=1.160 for 6 ports barrel. The slowr burning powder the better for me.

I get that a lot. 3N38... havnt heard of that when i was playing standard. have used N320 and N340. Is it good. a lot of people seem to use that powder. I've heard of using powder na para sa long arms. is that it??

When i visited the gunsmith last thur. we tried the gun using a 200g Teflon head and N310 as the powder. I was a bit startled by the bang. ang bilis ng fast burning. but the kick was a bit strong.

On our way home. More than the usual power factor daw yun. kasi for 180g loading data daw and ginamit ko sa 200g na head. hehehehe:animlol:

I'm not into competition shooting, but i would not use a fast burning powder like VV N310 in a 40SW more so for a major load.
For light load i use WST.

ess is right, 200gr and N310 is a disaster waiting to happen.

3n37 and 3n38 are slow burning powders normally used in modified and open pistols. They are still pistol powders and not meant for rifles. There is also n105 which is also made by vihtavuori that i use in my open. That one pang rifle na yata.

the key to using VV 310 is not to reuse your brass. A couple of shooters here, Robbie included are using 310.

Hindi ba problema yung ports directly under the blast shield?

Nag.zero kami kahapon. and Man!!!

VVVEERRRYYY Happy on how my modified performed yesterday.

    Had 3 targets. 13 yards, 35 yards(paper), and 50 yards(plate).

So nag.start po kami sa 13 yards, Upper orange circel muna, before mag.adjust, (already tweaked the cmore a bit before).

After tweaking, just a little bit, lower orange circle. Dead on cya sa dot. 1 holer pa!! ahehehe!!!

Next up, 35 yards, i was told to conpensate a bit high. First two shot hit the upper A zone, So 3rd shot, just pointed the dot on the green circle. Bang!!!, tama!!! Yeehaa. a bit to the left, but pretty accurate for a modified gun.

Ultimate test. 50 yards, 8" plate. tinamaan naman(1st shot), baka tsamba, try agian... miss, miss, ting!!!!! worth every penny i paid. hahaha!!!

Blast shield performed, Bedell design, cmore is safe. Blast shield... well "blasted". Used 150 and 170, man, ang sarap ng 150, parang super minor sa standard. Pfft lang yung feeling ko. Chronoed as factor naha!! blasted around 80+ rounds lang, medyo delicado eh. (gunban and all). NO JAM, NO FAILURE TO FEED, NO BRASS HITTING THE CMORE, What more could i ask for.

A Picture ng "Kuya" ng Modified ko. This gun was finished first before mine. This gun inspired me to make my own. But hindi lang open, d ko gusto yung sobra haba!! ahehehe!!! used the Open, dead on din, lahat plate, 13, 35 and 50 yrds, first try, Bang... near the target(Not the spot i inteded, was taking off the slack(i assumed meron)), super light yung trigger, i was startld by the blast. Ang lakas talaga ng super 38. feels like somebody slapping you with a sack of air(definitly not the division for me). 2nd to 4th shot. hit naman lahat. gnda din!!! :hearts:

    Pictures ng Magkapatid!!!
