Some AK's may not come with a front sight elevation adjustment tool. Here's a replacement that can be found locally if you have Advance Auto stores in the area.

Search on Advance Auto Parts' web site for the "Factory Air A/C Valve Core Tool" (Part 59302). This two-ended brass and chrome tool is designed for removing the large Schrader valves from automotive A/C systems. The larger end fits over the front sight post perfectly. Grab the knurled brass center with a pair of pliers for extra leverage. The price is $7.96 (at the time of this posting), and the website will give the number in stock at local stores.

I hope this helps anyone missing the adjusting tool - especially if you don't want to wait for mail order and pay $8 shipping on a $5 part.

Or, you can do like I did and spend an hour beating it back and forth with an empty case and a hammer for free.

Sweet ... but is it really worth the time, effort and material cost for the 10 buck investment you have with the other part?

self satisfaction I guess .....
