I was tossing around the idea of getting one of them there new mini mac thingamabobs. They seem relativley inexpensive, and ive wanted to play around with macs for a while. Anything to get away from micorsquish.

Anyone use one? Decent computers? Good for a mac newbie? Can a mac use a pc monitor? keyboard/mouse? (told you im a mac newbie)

    Thanks
    Russ

I have one of the first ones shipped. Ordered it direct from the Apple Online Store with free shipping and got it on the day of its introduction.

Got the 1.4mhz and 80 gig drive. Added 1 gig memory module myself. It shipped with 256meg of memory, which is not enough. MacMini needs at least 512meg, but 1gig is better.

The MacMini is a great little "entry" Macintosh. I highly recommend it for a 1st time Macintosh user.

Yes, it will use a PC Monitor/Mouse/Keyboard.

Get a $20 dollar Keyboad/Video/Mouse switch (KVM) and you can easily integrate it into your current PC setup.

Go for it and have fun with it.
