I know we have some members here who are members at MCRC.....

    1. Why is registration closed for new applications in the months of January and February?
    2. Do you have to be a member to enter the shooting contests that happen at MCRC?
    3. Do you have any bonus info about the place that might not be found from reading their webpage?

    Thanks!

    I'm a member.

    1. No idea why...

    2. You do not have to be a member to participate in any of the competitions (IDPA, State competitions, etc.). But for some of the in house activities, you would probably need to be a member or guest of a member.

    3. No special info other than what is readily available on the website.

Not sure if this has anything to do with the closed registrations until March but I read the newsletter the other day that they are going to cap the membership at 1,000 members. Not sure how many members there are currently though...

Last number I heard was in the 800's for membership total. Yet another reason to not let my membership lapse like I did a few years ago. Hard to find places to shoot these days.
