MERGED Buyer Intel for Glock Pistols

  1. The prices have gone "ballistic" since the NewTown incident. So if you see somehting you want and can afford it...buy it.

    Look around!

Not long ago the local Cop Shop had G22's for $329 for Gen 2's and $349 for Gen 3's.
$2 for the Brady Harrassment and 5% sales tax. That's it!
It came with the box, 3 mags and the paperwork.

I grabbed a Gen 3 and took it to the next GSSF outdoor shoot. The factory armorer replaced the RSA to be sure it was OK then gave me the old one to hold for a spare.

I later purchased a G31 barrel to shoot my favorite carry cartridge (357Sig) and it has been 100%. I would add a 9mm barrel if I didn't own several 9mm pistols already.

In my opinion, this is the very best way to purchase a Glock.

Was looking over buds website earlier and noticed they are selling the G20SF, G29SF and G29 for $627. That is up from $547 from just a few days ago.
Impact also had $600 price range for the Glock 10's.
I could understand if that was Gen 4 prices but these looked to be all Gen 3's.
Has someone slipped a tax increase on certain guns?
Hadnt really being pay much attention to the price of other guns to have noticed if they went up aswell or not.

They've done it on all Glocks. I'd wait it out and hopefully the prices will return. Alternatively, you can buy from another retailer.

Will keep an eye on it then.
Already own both the 20 and 29 SF versions so not looking to buy either but was just curious as to the price increase on the 10mm's whereas the other caliber Glocks "looked" to be the same price as the had been.
However as I mentioned, I hadnt been paying that close attention to their prices though (I have 10mm tunnel vision lol)

Yep, all their prices increased significantly (significantly to me at least). I'd wait it out unless you need something bad...

Most cops carry a lot but shoot very little. That comes
from 40 + years of LEO experience. Generally speaking,
LEO trade ins are a good buy. My wife's G19 is a US
Marshall's trade in and it looks brand new even though
    it's a Gen 2. She also bought a Local SO's S&W M&P40
last year and it's the same story. A lot newer than the
G19 I know but it still didn;t ha much more than Qualification
    rounds thru it.

9mm. Cheaper to shoot means you will shoot more. Shooting more means you will be more proficient. The caliber difference is insignificant when compared to the importance of good shot placement in a defensive situation.

well, glocks now come with standard cap mags. If a ban happens, they will come with 10 round mags and the standard mags will go for 50-100 bucks. So I think buying now gets you 2-3 standard mags that might quadruple in price. Buy glocks now.

Sportsmans warehouse has them at $570 right now.

  18. LGS has a few G22 s from the ST. Paul PD. Priced at $299 with two mags most with skate board tape grips but a few regular grips. They show some holster wear and supposedly been refurbushied(sp) by the PD armorer.

Is this a good deal and would trust your life with one.
