Why would hitting the yellow number be 75-to-1 odds when the number is only from 1 to 46?

Horrible odds BTW, for all prizes. Absolutely ridiculous. 15,313 to 1 odds to win $150 on a $1 bet. :wow:

1 in 75 is the odds of only getting the megaball and not anything else.

1 in 46 minus the odds getting matching 1,2,3,4,5 of the regular numbers plus the megaball.

I see. That's why the overall odds are 1 in 40.

    Thanks.

I bought 20 tickets ($20), matched the megaball (and no other numbers) on 2. Only worth a whopping $4. :faint: Would the odds of this be 20/75? Never was good at statistics and probabilities.

I think the odds would stay the same unless the number is the same on multiple tickets.
