RIP MCA, F cancer
this is a great loss. Farewell MCA
You're only 23 and once had a cassette tape? I have kids almost as old as you and I don't think they ever had a cassette; only CD's.
<------ grew up kickin' it with a huge Sony Walkman cassette on my hip.
RIP MCA. This really really sucks. Playing Paul's Boutique right now. Best of their work IMHO. We all dressed in back we snuck up around the back.
I don't even know what to say.
Time and money for girls covered with honey.
My patrol car will project Paul's Boutique and Ill Communication all day.
RIP Cochese, aka Nathan Wind, aka Nathaniel Hornblower, aka MCA aka Adam Yauch.
I feel like Elvis died again.
(and in before Kozel)
man i used to horde cassettes. we grew up broke, i didnt have cd walkmans or cd players until my later teens. My mom did give me this old ass home stereo with a wicked tape deck. when i was 12-15 i used to go around to thrift stores and yard sales and buy old cassettes from artists i liked for 10-25 cents. i had everything from metallica to beastie boys to the pharcyde to bootsie collins. found a lot of good stuff. i still remember the day i bought license to ill.
cancer is a m....f.....
"No sleep 'til Brooklyn" playing now. RIP, MCA.
At least they got into the rock & roll hall of fame before he died.
I still have my collection of cassettes in a box in the attic. I can't bear to part with them. They represent my childhood and can still remember buying most of them.
Baruch dayan emet.
I have been a long time fan.
"Only the good die young" is sadly accurate here. RIP, MCA. HH
