Ordered one, found to be of superior quality compared to the other extended slide locks I was using before. It did give me slightly smaller groups, but the truth is - I did not have much time to shoot the gun...
It fits perfectly under my G17 slide, my G22 slide, my .357sig and LWD .40-9 conversion barrels, as well as on gen4 G23:

My MGSL had very sharp side serrations, so I took a fine file and slightly touched it, and then applied a cold blue. Now it is much more comfortable. MGSL is pretty hard, but not harder then a file.

Actually it is very easy to find out what is harder, a barrel's lug or a MGSL: scratch one with another. The softer one will get the scratch mark (you can touch it up with a cold blue later).

I checked my G35 today. I've got about 400 rounds with the MGSL, no chips or damage noticed. The MGSL has a wear mark on the bottom edge, probably from the barrel lug hitting it below the slot when returning to battery. I have another one I was thinking of installing in my new G23 Gen 4.

Checked my GLOCKS. All nine of them have the MGSL and all checked out just fine, EXCEPT my Gen4 G27, which is showing signs of slight chipping. I put the stock slide lock back in that pistol. Not sure what to do about the others... go back to stock or leave the MGSL in.

Checked my gen3 19 and 26, both checked out fine. I've put a few hundred rounds down the 26, over 1000 on the 19 since installing the piece. I will attest to the improvement in groupings after installing the MGSL.

Due to reports of barrel chipping, I am suspending sales of the MGSL until I can determine the exact cause of this problem. I am asking anyone who has experienced barrel chipping using my MGSL to please call me at 832-695-7192.

I installed the MGSL on my G26, G34 and G29. 600 rounds thru the G26, 350 thru the G34 and 920 thru the G29. No chipping, though the 9mm are target reloads but most of the 10mm reloads are very warm, no 40 lite loads.

Looks to be a Gen 4 problem. Glock really cuts some corners on the Gen 4's. Time to start looking for the older used Glocks at my local store.

    My daughter is low vision.

That being said I have access to some quality low vision aids, ( think electronic and glass magnifers)

    I have a third generation Model 22 .

I would estimate I have fired between 7 and 9 thousands rounds thru the pistol with the match grade slide lock .

I can find no chips or erosion of any type on the portion of the barrel that touches and or comes into contact with the slide lock .

I need to buy another one for my Model 26

The last 7,000 or more rounds are not really relevant; if your gun did not chip in the first 50 or 100 rounds, then it is unlikely to ever chip.

Some barrels are chipping, some are not (whatever the cause).

I might add that I have put about 100 rounds of +p & +p+ through my G26 with the OEM slide lock installed & no more chipping of my barrel lug. The chipping I experienced happened in less rounds than that while the MGSL was installed. However, I did polish out the chips & that may have made the lug less subject to chipping.

T.R. Graham is a decent guy & will do the right thing... if he finds that his MGSL's have contributed to any chipping. He offered me several remedies, but I told him I was OK & needed none. My damage was minor & I do not plan to use a MGSL again... mainly because the main improvement is indicated for .40 which I do not shoot & because my guns are more accurate than I am, anyway! -

T.R. is doing more testing now on the chipping issue.

Any update on the chipping problem with these slide locks. I'm keen to try one of these in my 17.

For what it's worth after reading what's happening here and I personally use Mr. Grahams lock in all three of my glocks. I have a friend that bought a gen 4 glock 19. He installed a Glock threaded barrel and the gun can not get through a full mag. Yesterday I measured the "Slot" where this chipping is taking place and the dimensions differ. I put the original barrel back in and he shot it today and the gun ran fine.
The dimiensions on the 4th gen barrels and the 3rd gen are different.
This not the fault of Mr. Grahams lock. It is the fault of Glock changing the demensions and possibly the hardness of their 4th Gen barrels.

Many shooters with the chipping problem have Gen3 Glocks... not Gen4.

I do not believe that Glock makes a threaded barrel... Gen3 or Gen4. If your friend's new barrel is aftermarket (must be), then the dimension differences & poor functioning are understandable.

They do. Glock 17 Pro originally comes with threaded barrel:

    How about that!

I stand corrected. Thanks for the info, .38 super.

    Sorry, TTAC.

Just FYI: I shoot my MGSL with 4 barrels: G17 slide and old Austrian proof marks barrel, G22 with Glock OEM barrel, LWD 9mm threaded barrel conversion 40-9 and with OEM Glock .357sig barrel.
None of them have any chipping, G22 frame, long rails.

Guess I'll put these and see what happens to my Gen 3 Glock-19.
