I've asked earlier with little response and am hoping more eyes will land on this posting ... has anyone purchased and shot the new MasterPiece Arms Protector .380? Very little exists when you Google the subject.

The website offers some interesting insights about their manufacturing process and what little I've found about the gun is generally positive. The barrel has been ported, a beavertail added and better grips and a magazine extension ... all added to make the gun more shoot-able.

    Thanks for any fresh input.

Although this is the wrong forum for it, I will reply.

Yes, I own one. The recoil is sadistic. It's an extremely small gun and is blowback = brutal recoil. No one wants to shoot more than one round through it when they try it. I have to use a glove or else it cuts the web of my hand. Mine is un-ported.

Thanks Tiro for your response and now I agree about the wrong forum. I'll try the same question in the General Firearms location. My bad.

What he said. If you want a mouse 380, stick with a Ruger LCP, Seecamp 380, or even a Kel-Tec is better than that.
