I purchased a new XT and getting familiar with it removed the bolt a couple time per the manual and put it back in with no problem after cleaning. A couple day later I was going to see about mounting a scope and when I went to remove the bolt I couldn't. The handle comes up and the bolt will only go back about a half inch. It cocks and when I close it the trigger will fire. I suspect I screwed up in some manner but at a loss on how to solve the problem. I have looked at the manual and found no answers. I haven't used a bolt action rifle in years and looking for some advice.
