A man in Huber Heights, OH, drove his car through taco bell last night, because, get this, he got shorted a .99cent taco. what a moron. I hope he regrets this the rest of his life. Which he probably will because he is facing felony charges, and will probably owe so much money in restitutions that he will be broke the rest of his life. Unfortunatly, either that money of the money that he lives off of is probably going to come from taxpayers, but what can you do?

I fail to see where there was any indication of this in the article.

The Taco Bell closest to me habitually shorts orders in the drive thru - even when you check the bag all their packaging looks similar, so unless you pull everything out one item at a time you can't be guaranteed that your burrito is actually in there. Let it happen enough times and you can start relating to Joe Pesci in Lethal Weapon 2:

If Huber is anything like Kettering, they will fine him and send him on his way after 10 days in jail.

I think that I understand what you are getting at, but I doubt the amount of damage will lead him to "public assistance", if he was not already there or heading there.

Will insurance cover damages caused intentionally and illegally by the driver? I hope not.

Most won't. More than likely the restaurant will foot the bill and their insurance will have to sue him for restitution, which he will likely not be able to pay.

Same thing with my local Taco Bell. I always triple check the bags because we always get short ordered. Of some reason they can't figure out:

Bag of nachos (included in meal) + extra bag of nachos = two bags of nachos. Rocket science? Yes? No?:dunno:

Destroy your car, about to have a huge fine, and possible jail time, and have it all go on your permanent record.......all over a $0.99 taco. Yeah, you showed them not to mess up your order!

    What a moron.

Six hours in an anger-management class, followed by 12 more hours of community service, and he'll be back.

    Sad ... but true.

I think the limits of human stupidity were just expanded greatly by that ****** in the article. I mean I like Taco Bell as much as anyone, but to ram the place over a dollar or even a thousand dollars is not worth it IMHO. :)

WHAT! He didn't want to fill out the survey on the reciept? There are good and bad ways to handle things. Anybody want to guess how I'd classify his way?
