Can someone help me on the value of a MAK 90 I have. It was a gift from my father about 14 years ago. The receiver is stamped :

    MISR receiver
    Maadi Egypt
IMP C.A. I St ALB VT

I put a synthetic stock on it and have the thumb hole stock too. A friend of mine wants to trade a older G17 for it.

    Thanks in advance.

MAK 90's are Chinese/Norinco manufacture, not Egyptian.

What you have is a post-ban thumbholed stocked Maadi MISR, however some of these were pieced together using some Chinese MAK 90 parts on an MISR reciever and these are known as MISR-90's.

The quality of those were generally pretty awful, so if that's what you have then yea I'd say trade it off.
