Deciding on a mag well for my Springfield 1911 Loaded Parkerized. Been looking at S&A. Who else makes a lanyard loop this style, but with a mag well:

buy a lanyard loop and have it welded on to the MSH of your choice.

Thanks Quack. I found the lanyard loop on Brownells. Been looking to get rid of the ILS since I decided on SA.

Can you remove the ILS on the factory MSH? I have a SA GI and I would like to remove that, if possible. Thanks.

Yes, just get a new MS, cap, and retaining pin.

Easiest way is to replace the MSH. I know of no other way to disable it, besides not using it. I'm sure it pleases some state regulations, but it's not very functional or needed.

Thanks guys. Sounds like it's just easier to replace it all together.

either way, you'll still have to replace the internals.
Also some MSH might require fitting.

Thanks guys. I have found that this forum is the best for helpful responses. If I post in one of the other forums I get responses like "why do you want to do that?" or "I would just leave it alone." Thanks again.

I put this one on my SA Operator and my hammer still half & full cocks reliably. Grip safety even still works.

Got it off of Brownells and removed all of the locking MSH parts.

You will come to find that this is probably the most knowledgeable forum around for 1911's. I used to frequent many others, but primarily stick here now
