Several of you have asked about comparing the magazine wells in my two Nighthawk builds. One is an Enforcer in Diamond Black IonBond which features a Caspian frame with an integrated mag well, the second is a Heinie Tactical Carry pistol in hard chrome which utilizes Richard Heinie's mag well.

I will let the photos speak for themselves, but in short I feel the Heinie is a better piece, partly in the fact that the grip is a little shorter and not lengthened as with a standard mag well. However - it makes it much harder in selecting grips because they have to be specially cut to fit over the well. The Enforcer's integrated well wins in terms of grips easily.

    Take a look, discuss, enjoy!

Good review, thanks for the pics.

I've wondered about these two since my SA Custom Carry was ordered with the Heinie and I have an Enforcer on order.

I thought the Heinie had a larger/wider opening, but it seems the Caspian does. Or it is just the photos?

I think its the photos and the darker Caspian isn't showing up very well.... the Heinie seems wider to me.

  13. 15lpi is just ridiculous! After a full mag, I couldn't stand it. :faint: But the rest of the gun is super nice.
