Wondering if anyone has ever put a m14 front sight and/or flash hider on an AR? I like the look. I don't know much about the castle nut/thread compatability.

The sight over bore wont work the M14 sight is not tall enough you will be shooting like 6 feet high.

The actual sight profile of the M14 is pretty similar to that of the standard M16/M4/AR front sight post. As Mayhem said, the actual M14 sight is far too short to use directly on the AR, be it on the barrel or on a rail.

There are several oversized bird-cage style flash hiders available for the AR, both in closed- and open-ended styles.
