I have lost 100 lbs so far.

    I didn't buy anybody's locarb stuff.

I am able to read the side panel of the product

    and make my own decisions.

I agree. I've lost quite a few pounds with a change in carb, starch and sugar intake. No need to buy anything fancy, just read labels. Veggies & fruit are cheaper than meat.

I think ALL diets require discipline. I could never understand that if you can discipline yourself to stay on a specific diet, then you should be able to just plain cut back. You already know what your NOT supposed to eat,so use the same discipline as you would for say Atkins,or South Beach, etc.

  4. lethal tupperwa,

Good job. I lost 20 pounds and need to drop more. But it takes time for me. But it is working.

I only buy the lower carb stuff if I see that it is a better choice in terms of being higher fiber and lower in calories than a competing product.

I never really saw what all the fuss was about "low carb" foods to begin with. I lost all my weight using good old-fashioned exercise and better food choices, along with portion control.
