My Smith and Alexander slimline mag guide came in today and I couldn't wait to get home and put it on my Springer. Sadly, the first thing I noticed was how sloppy the craftsmanship was on this thing. The worst part is that the left side of the mag guide is .025 shorter than the right side and doesn't line up at all. I tried it in 3 1911s to make sure the gun wasn't crooked. IMO this is pretty shoddy craftsmanship for a $90 mag guide from the people who patented this design and claim to be "the mag guide people". My $40 EGW mag guide lines up better than this one. Is this normal for Smith and Alexander?
