Black rifle guys, I just bought a CMMG M4 LE upper and the handguard has about a 1/8 inch wiggle left/right. Is this normal? If not are there ways to go about fixing it?

I believe in the manual I was issued for my M4 carbine it says that more than 1/16" movement is not to be tolerated. Is your A Frame loose? Or your delta ring loose? Does it move your gas tube? If none of these move then it won't affect function, it will just be annoying.

That's pretty normal for aftermarket. Make sure it's the HG's wiggling and not the FSB or delta ring. Then use a thin bead of high temp RTV to tighten it up. Just a little, you want to fill the gap so it doesn't wiggle, not glue it in place forever.

Or get some Magpuls. they're pretty solid.
