Which ones should I consider? I've read that the DEs have chamber support issues with full house loads. Those are what I shoot out of my G20, so I am looking for a quality 10mm 1911 that can handle them.

    TIA.

I wouldn't think the DE chambers are any sloppier than a typical stock Glock chamber...

Just carefully work up handloads and make sure you only use factory full house stuff. New brass will provide a decent protection IMHO.

I like my Kimber Eclipse II in 10mm. Thinking of getting a Kimber TLE/RL in 10mm also.[IMG]
Kimber chambers are also fully supported.

FWIW, I've owned both a Kimber STII and Dan Wesson / CZ Razorback.... they are both SUPERB firearms... accurate and reliable. I'd give the nod to the RZ if you can choose but they have gone up in price considerably from what I've heard.

    Good luck!

I think this is what the OP was talking about. http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=337704
Underwood Ammo has a warning on their boxes not to shoot certain 10mm ammo in Delta Elites because of lack of chamber support.

Yea, I know about that... I guess I just meant that I'd find it surprising they would give the warning for DE's but not Glocks.

But you are right, heed what the manufacturer recommends in this case, yes.

Here is a pic of my Kimber with a few upgrades.

I know that 10mm Glocks are a little loosey goosey but I was completely stunned by the complete lack of cartridge support in the Delta Elite. I still want one though.........

I also love the looks and mystique of the Deltas. Especially the old blued ones. Not sure why but yes sir!

Love it! (I honestly didn't even know Kimber made a TLE/RL in 10mm. I thought it was only the Eclipse and Stainless Targets.)

    Nice.

Yes sir, 10mm. Was going to get a stainless delta, but couldn't pass up the less expensive Kimber with more goodies. Will probably get a delta anyway. :whistling:

With ya 100% on that one. I won't buy a DE until I've crossed off quite a long list of things I want more, myself. Someday.... but not soon. The Kimber would have been an easy decision.

    What ever.

I own both. I shoot both. I reload.

I DON'T worry for a moment about putting what ever I've bought or reloaded in either gun I want to shoot. Ever. Where do people get these ideas?

I don't own a DE, but if I did, I wouldn't worry about shooting any 10mm load that was within SAAMI pressure spec through it.

One thing to consider in the ramped barrel versus unramped barrel (Kimber, etc. versus DE) is I think ramped barrels will feed a broader set of bullet profiles than the unramped. I have found my ramped Kimber ST2 in 10mm will feed my 200gr Beartooth WFNGC flawlessly, where my unramped 45 Auto 1911's will not reliably feed my 265gr WFNGC's in my 45 Super loads. Not apples to apples, but something to consider.

Love my 10mm Eclipse! Just had it out at a Women on Target event last weekend and everyone loved trying it out with some full power loads (180gr, 1260fps).

I have one of the newer Rock Island tactical 10's and have had good luck so far. I was afraid I would baby a Kimber and I am having a lot of fun with my 1911 that cost me 589$. Russ
