I'm trying to find some EMS pants that have Velcro on the tabs that hold your trauma shears in. Most of the ones I see have snaps on those, but I like the ones with Velcro. However, I can't remember the brand name of the ones I've seen before. I want to say there was an "X" in the brand name, but I'm not sure. Can y'all help me out some? I've used Google a bunch already.

My Hercules EMS pants have velcro loop closures. All of the pocket closures are velcro as well. Sorry, I couldn't find a product or model number for you when I checked.

I prefer the snaps to the velcro. HTH

In addition to the loop side, the hook grabs all the lint, fuzz, etc it contacts, which affects hold. With regular washing, it also loses its friction long before the pants are ready for replacement. You can replace the tabs, but it's a nuisance.

I have switched to the 5.11 tactical pants, no sheer holder, but you can use a belt version if you need. I have the pants in black and they have been through 30 or 40 washes and still look good. Best wearing pants I have ever worn.

Here is a link for the style that I purchased as quartermaster at work: www.allseasonsuniforms.com/di64g.htm

They work great, and are almost half the price of Elbeco. Elbeco is nice, but run $50.00, and we have had to send some back after a little wear and tear.
