I wanted to share (another) my experience with the 40-9 conversion barrel from Lone Wolf.
I bought a new G23 (gen 3?) a few years ago because of the flexibility to change it to 9mm for the range. This would reduce the cost of ownership over time. We all know 40mm ammo is expensive and scarce at times.

Configuration: G23 with LW 9mm conversion barrel and oem Glock 9mm magazines.

I did my reading and decided to take the advice of LW and others by putting through 25 rounds of +P ammo (expensive). Then I put through 50 rounds of general 115g ammo. On that range day, I did have a few failure to feeds, always on the first feed as I put the magazine in. I realized I wasn't using enough force when loading the magazine. If I jamed the magazine in harder, it was fine. Since then, I've had no issues feeding the first round.

The second range day I put through 50 rounds. One failure to feed.

I went out today and shot 100 rounds. One failure to eject.

So in all, it's been perfectly acceptable for the range. As others have stated, I would not rely on this for carry duty. I'll stick with the oem 40mm barrel from Glock for home defense and carry.

    +1 on that.
    I've got 1000+ rounds of 124/127 +P/+P+ through my
SL 9mm conversion barrel without a single malfunction.

This. Most 115 grain I've shot is weaker than standard 9mm and does not fully cycle the slide because the g23 recoil spring is designed for the stiffer recoil of the .40

Gen4 23 here with 1,100 rounds of .40 thru the gun.

Got the LWD 40-9 barrel and 9mm mags (15rd/17rd/33rd) and put 20 rounds of +P Winchester PDX-1 then 280 rounds of Federal 115gr FMJ.

Zero issues with 9mm thus far...

I've got a Gen 2 G23 that I got a LW 40-9 barrel for and even with Win white box I've had no problems. YMMV

I think the 115GR issue may also be with other conversion barrels as I have had one failure to go into full battery with 115GR practice cartridges and my Storm Lake .40/9mm conversion barrel on my G23...with 125GR of several makes and configurations, mine has been 100% with only the barrel and mag (G19, G17) changes...
