Had a couple of FTF/FTE on new/used TM.
Gunsmith did a recoil spring, extractor, strip and clean. He said internals are all tool steel, which seems to be favored over MIM.
He shot a magazine at 25 feet offhand, said it made a one hole group smaller than a quarter. Grip safety seems to have some play, but he says that's a non issue regarding function.
Very happy with this 1911, the first I've owned that I like.

IIRC, the hammer on your TM looks like a Wilson Value Line hammer.

As the gunsmith told me it's all tool steel, one of you is incorrect.

  4. Glad your 'smith got it sorted out.

    Have fun.
