Yup, I am. I've been a little peeved lately to find just about every thread co-opted by some political bull****; did my best to remain civil and refrained from replying many times. I realize that such a forum is generally populated by people with many views that differ from my own, but I wonder at the necessity for bashing Obama, Liberals (in usually boring, blanket statements that express more opinion than fact) and the government in general at every opportunity.

I suppose it's fun to regurgitate agitprop back and forth to each other every day, and reinforce easily repeated opinions without giving them much thought, but I have to say that even if that's fun, it can't be THAT fun. Truly, many of you just seem pissed much of the time.

Anyhow, there are some liberals here, some that believe the Second Amendment allows us--you know, "The People"-- to keep and bear arms, and that nevertheless find some reasons not to vote for Romney, or identify as conservative, or libertarian, or just plain Contrarian and Crotchety. I'll be around--because there are really a lot of fine insights, really good information, and even occasionally a worthwhile argument to be had--but sometimes you ****ers make it hard.

So, that's that. Just wanted to vent a bit. Happy Glocking.

'Liberal' is an oxymoron, since most who identify themselves as liberal are actually anti -liberty.

    Cheers.

I remember only shoveling sand and mortar while Bush was President. I do recall finding many of his policies wrong-headed, but I can't fault the guy. President is a hard job. What's the DU?

There certainly are liberals who are pro-gun........but, they fail to see their political philosophy will lead to them not having their guns.......except those that will not have anything to do with the reason why we have a second amendment in it's original intent.......

As each person is different, what issues are you liberal? Some here may agree with you on a couple of your views.

If you think you can find anyone willing to defend Obama or his appointees on this forum, you won't.

You are correct. The One should not be bashed, he should be praised, and bowed to, daily.

That's where you, like most right wingers, are 100% wrong on about every issue.

    I'm a Liberial.

Go back and check all my post and point out a single post that I have made that is "anti -liberty".

A CE things that I stand for as a Liberial........

1.) The Bill of Rights. All of them, not just a couple.

    2.) The Holy Bible

    3.) A smaller Federal Gov't.

4.) A balanced Federal and State Budgets.

5.) Personal choice and freedom. I do not need the Gov't to tell me who I can marry, if I can own a gun, or if I can get an abortion.

    That's just a few.

Is "liberial" an actual term, as opposed to "liberal"? :dunno:

Just wondering if a new word has entered our lexicon that I'm not aware of...

  16. Part of the problem many liberals, who also vote Democratic, have is their party has been taken over and moved to the far left ideology by liberals who call themselves Progressives. Within the Democatic Progressives are a smaller core group of Socialists, Anarchists, Communists and Marxists. They all are working towards the same goal. They all seek to rewrite the Constitution/Bill of Rights so as to further their Utopian goals. They above all else believe in the power of the state rather than the power of the individual. They all work together to continue their 100+ year process of changing this country.

On the right, liberals who don't see themselves as Democrats, have helped push the Republican party to the left. The Republican party, more specifically the GOP leadership, now sits politically where the Democratic party used to sit politically 30 or more years ago. Its ultimately why we have a Massachusetts liberal who runs as a Republican going up against Obama who at any one time is a Progressive, Marxist, Communist, and or a Socialist.

Walking into this mess is the MSM and some liberals who seek to further the perceived divisions between the factions on the right. Further the divisions between the libertarians and the conservatives. If Obama is reelected it will be in part because those who are opposed to Progresivism are too divided to unite in their common goals/ideals to stand against the relentless Progressive march in this country.

You do realize that umbers 3 & 5 may be in conflict, don't you?

The "gun" issue is solved by the Bill of Rights and those things not enumerated revert to the States, ergo the State government (IE the voters of the State) gets the say on marriage and abortion. Unless, of course you want a big Federal Government enforcing YOUR wishes as the law of the land.

I say the same thing about the right-wingnuts. Especially the ones that, by their post, you can tell that they are middle-aged and live in their Mom's basement.
