    Well,

I had one of these a couple of years ago and decided that I had to many 1911's and traded it away, 6 months later I realized how much I missed it so my Good friend George Talia ordered me one just like my old one, no front cocking serrations. I honestly think that Les and company did a 1.5 job on this by mistake. The slide is twice as hard to pull back than my old one and the trigger has zero creep in it, I am extremely happy and will NEVER get rid of this one

I've got another model Baer lined up (helluva deal too) but my heart wants a nonFCS TRS. Absolutely beautiful.

The only thing I don't like about my TRS is the night sights just don't seem quite bright enough to me. I even sent the slide back for replacement vials and Les said they were within spec, whatever that is. :dunno: I'm still kicking around the idea of having it chromed this year. Not sure though if I want to take the chance of someone other than Baer doing it.

I was just looking at a lightly used TRS today. I love my 1.5" Premier II, and have long thought a TRS would be a good companion to it. My only complaint is the sights. I think Novak sights are the most overrated on the market. Trying to do one handed cycling drills with Novaks reminds me of a phrase about a monkey and a doorknob. I much prefer 10-8 sights, which Ed Brown is now offering as an option.

My Les Baer Thunder Ranch Commanche Special is one of my favorite 1911s.

I really like mine. Park'd, no FCS. In my opinion, the TRS is one of the best bangs for the buck for a no frills, solid 1911.

Looks even better in your pic's than the sale ad pics - I remember lurking when that one was up. Nice looking pistol.

Did it cost a lot more to get with no front cocking serrations?

Crazy John at proload usually has some nonFCS Baer's in stock, and is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
