Les Baer Prowler
It costs 700 more than a Premier 2. Why?
People like to show how much money they spent on something.
A lot of Baers cost more than the PII.
That's one of their entry level models.
Like you have a clue.
I own a Prowler III. It's a fabulous pistol, IMO. And I got it for an amazingly great deal, which always sweetens the perception
Let's face it, "Prowler" sounds far more menacing.
It sounds like a Nighthawk pistol, to be honest.
Kinda looks like one too, esp with that blast shield thingy at the muzzle..
I haven't seen too many. I think one would be cool without FCS and of course in hardchrome.
The Prowler is an "improved" Premier II.
From the catalog.
Were bringing back our very popular Prowler III, a modified version of our popular Premier II. This superb defensive handgun includes a tapered cone stub weight. It features superior recoil reduction and sight acquisition. Features include:
Baer NM steel frame, NM slide and NM barrel with tapered cone stub weight Baer reverse plug Slide fitted to frame Double serrated slide Low mount BoMar sight with hidden rear leaf Baer dovetail front sight Lowered and flared ejection port Tuned and polished extractor Baer extended ejector Baer checkered slide stop Baer speed trigger with crisp 4 lb pull Baer deluxe Commander hammer and sear Baer beavertail grip safety with pad Flat serrated mainspring housing Beveled mag well Polished feed ramp and throated barrel Baer extended ambi safety High checkered front strap @ 30 lpi Pistol tuned for total reliability All corners rounded for tactical use Baer Premium Checkered Cocobola grips Blued finish (2) 8-round premium magazines
The barrel with the blast waffer is why. I think they help quite a bit with recoil, especially in commander-sized guns.
