My local shop has a blued one of these in their cabinet used for $1495... Looks in great shape. I had to leave before I talked myself into it.

    Anybody shoot 6" 1911s much?

    Man... that's nice!

Old English Outfitters in Tipp City, OH is the shop. It's a pretty tempting pistol, but I must.... resist!

Is the feel/recoil/accuracy much different with the longer barrel? It just looks cool as hell.

it's a fun gun to shoot. at a range session with knedrgr, there was a guy shooting a scoped .308 at 25yrd's. we were shooting better groups than him with the longslide at 25yrd's. granted the guy was a Tactifool who came in with a drag bag and wearing a butt-stock ammo holder as a wrist band with 308 ammo in it.
after we pulled out targets in, he switched to a scoped 10/22 and shooting out to 10yrds :animlol:

hmmm...i have a job to do in Perrysburg, so i could make a long trip down there :whistling:

Should be a great shooter.

I only buy 1911s with barrels between 4 and 5", but longer 1911s are great as well.

One of my favorite Baers. With the 1" and a half group + tax it cost me 2300 new. A lot of fun.

What a steal of a deal! I'd have jumped all over that too.

I picked up a Baer longslide with the accuracy guarantee and Baer Coat about 15 years ago. It's an incredible machine. Love shooting it.
