I'm setting up to load .357sig and I figured I would use a .40 sizing die to size the whole case and then bump the neck back with the .357sig die. Just the Lee .40 carbide resizing die is $27. I can buy a 3 pc .40 carbide set for $27. I can get the 4pc .40 carbide set with the FCD for $33. So what I was thinking of doing to save a few bucks is to buy the 4pc .40 die set (because I want to load .40 also) and use the .40 FCD to full length size my .357sig brass.(with the crimping stuff removed) Any issues with that? I have the tooling at my disposable to machine the FCD if needed. Is the ID of the carbide ring on the .40 FCD the same ID as the .40 resizing die? Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
