So I have a Sony Vaio model numer VGN-CR220E. It has a LED on the front of the computer right in front of where the touch pad is. Here are a few pics of what I'm talking about.

Anyway it flashes back and forth between blue and white whenever the computer is on. This gets very annoying at night as it lights up my whole room (it is very bright) at night if I want to leave my computer on.

There used to be a Sony Vaio Control Center where you could shut it off, but after messing with my computer many times (multiple clean os installs) I cannot get back the Sony Control Center. I have Windows 7 on the main partition, and I went to Sony's site and downloaded it again, but whenever I click on it the blue loading wheels comes up, but then just goes away without opening the program.

Any ideas what I could do? I really dont want to open the computer and physically disable the light, and having those default Sony control options back would be nice. Do you guys know why it won't run on my machine any more?

    Thanks a lot,

    Nathan
