    Hi,

Can I shoot lead bullets thru an HK USP pistol (polygonal barrel)? I know that you can't with a glock... I'm not sure about the HK

Any comments would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

shot more than 30000 rounds of 45 acp mostly lead on mine without problems. i just clean the barrel every shoot.

usp has supported chambers. what caliber are you using?

from experience on 2 usp's one 9mm and the other 45 acp. i never had any problems with it

    hi miko_a;

i shot lead thru my glocks with the original barrel. i use those hard cast lead bullets and load it light about 125pf, i clean the barrel thoroughly every 200 rounds. no problem so far:) my friend's jericho also has a polygonal barrel, he shoots a lot of lead with no problem and seldom cleans the barrel. so i think if the chamber is tight and has more suuport it will be ok:) the glock has a loose chamber with less support, the 9mm for me is acceptable but the .45 is a bit loose with less support imho. around 25%-30% of my fired brass has a small bulge near the case head with standard to major loads.

I shoot lead through my H&K USP with no problems.
I don't even clean it often.

  5. Miko ,

I shoot lead bullets through my HK USP45 & Jericho (9mm & .40cal.) without problems.Just clean the barrel after shooting about 300 rnds.Avoid lead deposit, barrel pressure would certainly increase in a polygonal barrel causing the dreaded KBs.

    Stay safe.

Sorry kung off topic, but how much are USPs nowadays? Madali lang ba mag order ng parts?

  7. Standard HK USP costs around Php 68T and mag ranges from 3.5T to 4T. Nashe has them on display at Makati Cinema Square.

Parts are not readily available but can have them online.Anyway, you'll have no problems with HK USP parts, they'll last (except probably for the mag spring which can be ordered at Gunsprings.com). ;)

Thats what i did but after shooting tens and thousands of rounds on my usp 45. the springs just sat on my drawer for a year. then i sold the usp since ptc is not available and the gun is useless since i have a svi.

i just gave the springs to the buyer. i still dont expect the mag springs on that usp to give for another 30t rounds.

i replaced my recoil spring though after every 10,000 rounds

  9. Jasonub , captive type ba yung HKUSP recoil assembly mo? When you installed your recoil spring before ( from Wolff? ) did you reinstall the C-clip (captive type). Planning to get several springs from Wolff. Thanks.;)

    P68,000 for a standard USP.

The price of this gun has really gone up since it was introduced in the late 90s.

I remember trimark used to sell it at 28k to 35k only.

yes you have to remove c clip. the standard spring for usp is 13 pounds, get 14 pounds and change every 5t rounds if its wolff.

the small spring is not to be removed and the manufacturer is against removing the second spring
