    Mr. Ayoob:

I've heard it recommended, by you and others, that it's a good idea to use equipment and ammo that's similar to what's used in LE. With that in mind, I have two questions:

    1. What agencies are currently issuing the 165-grain Speer Gold Dot HP? I like this round, it's reliable and accurate in my Glock 23. (On a related note, is there a way to find out what ammo is used by different agencies?)

    2. I remember reading something you wrote about a LE agency that uses the NY1/"-" connector combination in their service pistols, but I can't remember if you mentioned the specific agency and I couldn't find it on GT using the search function. Can you tell me what that agency is, or any other agencies using the NY1/"-" connector combination (standard issue or approved)?

    Thank you in advance.

Can't name all, since there's no central repository for information on either question, so I hope you'll be satisfied with examples.

Missouri State Troopers pioneered the use of the "-" connector combined with NY-1 on their Glock 22 pistols, and were reportedly very satisfied with the results. It has since became a factory-approved combination.

Nashville Metro PD had splendid success with full power 165 grain in their .40 caliber Glock 22s, initially in the Winchester Ranger brand and most recently in Speer Gold Dot.

    Best,
    Mas

I didn't know Nashville Metro PD had switched to Gold Dots.

Thank you very much for your help.
