Okay, I'm thinking about fighting the crowd tomorrow, but need help first.

My first idea is a 17" Samsung. It has a .264 resolution. The price is $250 after rebate. Here's the link: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1077628276997&skuId=6465434&type=product

The other idea is a ProView 17" for $200 after rebate. The Staples website says that it is a TFT model. Now, does that mean that it does not have a DOT resolution? Link: http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Brow...plays&bcClassId=142216&bcClassName=17-18"+LCD

I'm trying to get the best deal here. It seems as if the Samsung is really the best because it has a 3 years parts and labor factory warranty where the ProView is only a year. There's also a MAG brand at Best Buy for about $200 after rebate and has the same resolution, but only a 1 year warranty.

But, there's also a MAG 19" for $350 after rebates but it is a .294 which means less resolution than the smaller MAG or the Samsung.

Please help because I know nothing about this LCD monitor stuff!

  2. Buy the Samsung. They make a pretty darn goood monitor. Spend the $50 and get something thats gonna last. Mags pretty good to if you wanna spend the money.
