Bought a new Glock 23 Gen 3 at Cabela's today. The rear sight is a LaserLyte unit. This is my first Glock and laser. While cleaning/lubing, I realized the LaserLyte sticker on the top of the slide has the laser's serial number; it's not just a throw-away advertisement. Leaving it there seems ugly. Question: Is there any reason I can't simply remove it and tape it somewhere in my Glock carrying case? (I've already recorded the laser's s/n in several places amongst my normal shooting records.) I've looked on this site for some FAQ info, but didn't spot anything re this question. Thank you.
