Seems like the full-size .45s aren't garnering the attention they once did. Still fine guns, but I'm thinking the compact models pull a lot of dual-duty (range use and concealed carry).

Yep, I just use my Glock 21SF for matches with my Glock30 and Glock30SF for CCW duty. But, my Glock21SF is very much fun to shoot at the matches. I have a match LWD barrel that I shot the Precision Black Bullet and they work most excellent with me only having to worry about making sure the sights are on the center of the target when I pull the trigger. I have been wondering where everyone had gone to also. Hardly any posts lately. Later!!!:wow:

I check this forum every time I'm on GlockTalk but there is seldom any activity.

I'm subscribed to this forum so I keep an eye on it. Love my G21, but am looking forward to swapping it out for a Gen 4 model.

I was wondering if Glock has fixed the problem with the ambi-magazine release on the Glock 21SF ambi gun. What it would do or not do is release a full magazine. But, when the mag was partially loaded it would work with no problem. I had one and when I called them, they simply sent me parts. I finally sold the gun and found a Glock 21SF with a standard mag release and have had no problems whatsoever. Is this like taking a perfected gun to the peter principle?

I really like my 21SF, it's my carry gun of choice, when circumstances and clothing requirements allow.

What parts did they send? I've noticed the same thing, but pushing up on the bottom of the mag while I press the release seems to work.

If there's really a fix I will get it.

I've always found it very easy to dump a magazine when shooting weak (left) handed but using the index finger. Never understood the need for an ambi mag release so when I bought my 21SF I got the "Calif" version with the normal release and Glock rail. Works fine and fits in all the holsters the 3rd Gen I used to have worked with.

They sent me the magazine release, catch, and release spring. I personally believe that the problem with the setup is that the magazine catch, spring, and release should all be metal. This way all pressure and tention would be distributed equally against all parts and the original magazine release would not have broken at the tinnest part. Then they would work fine. I also went to the single mag release and it works great for me in competition.

    Does wanting a 21sf and 30sf count?
Those are the next glocks on my list.
I can't believe how good the 21sf feels . . . along with the trigger.
It should be the standard spec gen3 21 imho.

I could be wrong but it seems that it might be possible that some of the decline in activity in this "club" might be due to the change in set-up of the gun "clubs" some time back. This once seemed to be a fairly active area of GT but when the "gun related clubs" were placed at a level lower of sorts, under "gun related clubs" many of them seemed to have slowed down considerably IMHO.

Maybe it is just my perception and the decline in posts here reflects some other change such as the increased CCW population which often goes for the smaller and lighter firearms - actually, I do, at least in the hot weather - so I may be providing an answer to my own thought; but anyway, I will check in here more often to see what's up and try to contribute. FWIW.
