I have a P9 Covert (P9 with PM9 lenght grip). I have had it since 2003-2004. Excellent small pistol. The trigger pull is long but smooth. Reset is the only issue I have with the trigger, since I shoot mostly Glocks. Fine trigger if you get used to it. Since I am used to the Glock trigger reset, if I try to go too fast with the P9 Covert in an IDPA match, I sometimes short stroke it.
I don't know what a good price is, but I would not hesitate to get a P9. I will never sell or trade my P9 Covert.

  3. I like the P9. Don't know the value. Similar to the CW9, but without the cheaper manufacturing process, thus they sold for more.

You can fit all your fingers on the grip (maybe), as it is longer than the PM9 and CM9.

P9 is a great handgun... I have the covert for EDC. They don't make them anymore . But you can ! The sight picture is a bit better than the PM9 . The polygonal barrel pretty much limits you to jacketed rounds(unless you like scrubbing) . It is accurate, as previously stated, trigger is long DAO but the trigger is one of the smoothest you will find in a small handgun. I can rapid fire into a paper plate at 15 yards with relative ease. It is capable of 2-3 " groups at 25 in my hands, if I take my time. Some may be much better than me , I'm a casual shooter, just been doing it a long time ! Also as previously stated , I will never trade or sell mine and IMO it would be hard to find a better EDC gun in this caliber .

It's an excellent gun and carry piece. I have mine's in a Tucker The Answer and a Garrett Industries Silent Thunder.

He wants $375 firm Good price? and as for the barrel he says it has a match grade barrel. What is the difference?

I'm new to most pistols as the only handguns I've owned are the ones I have now g22 and g34 I'm just looking for a smaller carry gun.

  7. Price seems ok to me. I think "match grade" is what Kahr calls all their P9 barrels. But the same size gun in CW9 has a barrel that is made in a less expensive way. Not sure if the shooter can tell the difference or not, but the P9 is probably more accurate in theory. I know the one I shot seemed as accurate in my hands as my Beretta 92.

It sounds like a good price if it works. I would see if you could test fire it, if he lives close to you. I would offer him $20 dollars for his trouble, if you don't buy it and it functioned properly. Most people want to meet you somewhere anyway when they are selling a gun, that has been my experience anyway.
