And my heart skipped a beat and I think I broke out in a sweat. A letter from the Il state police. Just 31 days after they cashed my check my FOID card is in my sweaty little hands. I do believe i'll be visiting a gun shop this week.

I'm torn between the G22 and G21. I'll have to go and maybe shoot them both tomorrow before I make the purchase. But i'm leaning a wee bit towards the G22.

Congrats.... I just spent 10 minutes on hold with Mega Sports to see if they had a gun in stock before I make the trip. Never got anyone so I'll just make the trip and see.

I need to mail in my wife's application for her FOID as well.

Did you get the regular or rough textured frame?

The regular. I like it better then the RTF2. Some like the new. Hold it, see how you like it and then chose between both. The slide serrations are good but I don't like the texture on the grip.

I picked up the RTF2 about a month ago. Love it. Like you said personal preference.

Welcome to the addiction. Until I qualify with my 22 I'm carrying a 23 on duty. Also ordered a 27 recently but was told it would be 8-12 weeks for it to come in. Worth it for the LE discount.

Now I'm looking to pick up a 19 with the OD Frame if I can find one.

Let's see..... Glock's, 2 in hand and the 27 on order. If I pick up the 19 that would make 4. Maybe I'll complete the 9mm trifecta and grab the 17 and 26 down the road.

    I had a 1st generation 19 which I sold...... a 21 and 30 which also got sold when I switched to .40 cal.

Also in the safe is a S&W 642, Ruger LCP, and a Rock River Entry Tactical AR-15.

    Don't tell my wife :whistling:

I'm just outside Joliet so Dundee is a little bit of a drive...... but maybe I'll make the trip up 355. They are an LE Glock dealer so they should have some blue labels for the discounted price.

If you join the Glock Shooting Sports Foundation (GSSF) for $35 a year you can get 1 certificate per year for a Glock at the LE price ($398 for most 9's and 40's).......

Okay time for the Hawks game. Signing off for now.

Yes they had LE discounted prices. When I told them I want a G22, first thing they asked me is I was a LE. For the GSSF, that's not a bad idea I must say. Considering the "Glock Addiction" I might buy another one by the end of the year.
