If it's like Boyle Co., they'll take your picture for you when you go there.

Congrats on completing the class - whew that was tough, huh.

The passport photo is not the correct size. They will take your picture and charge you another $5.

Has anyone received their permit lately? Just curious on the wait time. I took my class on 4/4 and received certificate on 4/28. Went to see the sheriff on 4/29. My county check cleared a couple days later and KSP check cleared on May 15. Sheriff's deputy told me they're running around four weeks from the time they send off the paperwork to the state police which would be today. Any idea how much longer I can expect?

just called on mine yesterday (scott county) and they referred me to the state police. I called them and they said I was through 5 of the 7 background checks and they were planning on working on them today (Wed). They sounded like they were SWAMPED, but he was nice enough about it.

If you like I can post the phone number later so you can call them and ask about your status.

That would be great. When did you take your certificate and pay the fees?

Thanks. I looked the number up yesterday and gave them a call. The guy acted like I was joking with him because I called at four weeks and told me their running about 40 days right now.
