Nice come up. Just saw some guy selling one for $700. Crazy! How's the trigger feel?

Good. Better than my 26. Lighter and crisper. But I paid $559 at Gander. $700 is HIGH.

Congrats. I was looking at one of these, too but decided on the Kahr PM45. Let us know how it shoots.

Went to the range and put 25 quick rounds of PDX1 230gr. Bonded downrange and WOW. I thought I would flinch but this little .45 is quite mild. Feels like less recoil than my 27. WAY less than my go-to 29. 100% reliable and all in the 10 ring at 15 feet.

The extra mag loaded with 5 rounds is easily thin and light enough for pocket carry. Although I agree with this quote anyway:

"If 6 rounds of .45 don't get you out of trouble and headed for cover, you're doing it wrong..."

Here are a could of comparison pix with my 26:

Nice. Compared to your 26 is it a big difference when concealing? I really like my 26 but wouldn't mind something like a shield or XDs.

Congrats PimpStick, those comparison pics really emphasize how compact the XDs is is. That looks like well engineered little pistol.

I hope they expand the XDs line. More calibers, and 4inch barrel compact version would be sweet! A 4.5 inch full size 45 model would be nice. Essentially a striker fired polymer 1911...

Congrats on the new carry iron. Is there any leather available yet?

    PS,

Congrats on the new XD(s)--I have dropped it down a bit on my hit list, but still have it there for now behind a few other pieces I'd like to add to the collection.

Thanks for posting the G26/XD(s) comparison.

Glad to hear that it's working out well for you. When you mentioned that the recoil is less that the G27, it got me thinking again...

SA Website already hints at 9mm/.40 in the XDs.

The 26 really puts it in perspective. That thing really is small. I think it's on my list. My list is kinda long though

Noticeable. Weight loaded is 3oz less (that's with the Pearce +2 ext., but 11+1 on the 26), but the width is the big winner. It fits perfectly in my High Noon tuckable PPS holster and just feels much more comfortable than my 26.

Congrats on the gun buy! I would love to buy a G27 gen 4 but haven't decided if I want to buy a Springfield yet. In MA, they are extremely uncommon and we pay premium price. I have to slow down on my gun purchases, I just bought a new G36 last week!

    How is the trigger?

How is the trigger on this new xDs? I dry fired a XDM and I kindda like it than Glock, but it just too thick for my taste, but the New XDs is sweet!
