Watching it now. Guy got a citation for crosswalk violation.
Guy files formal complaint against Officer. Internal Investigation launched, results in an unsubstantiated finding, but remains on the Officer's record.

Officer sues guy, they appear on show.
The usual, guy with poor driving record trying everything to avoid responsibility & get out of ticket. Add to that the Officer had cut him a break on another clear violation.

Audio recording from Officer makes guy look like a tool, more so as he tries to continue same in court. :rotf:

Good on the officer. I hate BS complaints and administrators who allow people to file them as leverage for whatever pending case they have.

You cops watch Judge Judy? You're opening yourselves up for all sorts of ridicule.

We do that just by putting on the uniform.

That is what I think of every time I see some "I got a ticket and the officer didn't have possible clause" on GNG.

No idea how much they get paid, but the text afterwards says that the people get paid to be on the show, and any monetary compensation the winner gets comes from that fund. However, I don't know if they get $5k+ for each episode they're in, so it's entirely possible the guy had to pay some of it out of his own pocket.

According to that, the show pays the person the amount they win, and both people get $500 or so.

The problem is Judge Judy doesn't get any folks on with stylish hair. You need good hair, like what you see on Judge Joe Brown:

Just watched that, loved it. The fact that he told his lie knowing full well there was a recording to prove otherwise was great.

I remember an episode years ago when an old woman was pulling the same crap. When the officer pulled out an audio recording, boy did she panic. Judge Judy tore her a new hole.

We're mandated by state law to take any complaint, even if the complaint comes in anonymous....

We spend a lot of time investigating things that are complete BS. But we can tell the complainant that their allegations have been thoroughly investigated and have been deemed to be complete BS.

If anyone makes a blatently false allegation, I also don't hesitate to charge them with filing a false police report.

I'm a die hard Colts fan, and they are my favorite team. I've always been a Lions fan as well (hard as that is to admit).. and this pic is SO true.
