Be aware that the "John has a long mustache" and the "The chair is against the wall" messages, have a more historic meaning.
These messages were radioed to the French resistance in the hours before D-Day landing to coordinate the attacks and cause disruption of German opposition.
All that hate's gonna burn you up, son.

For the current situation I will say the following:
It is 112 degrees in Saigon today. And now for Bing Crosby's White Christmas.
Same here. Red Dawn didn't even come to mind.
Waking up this morning, I thought "Saigon... *****, I'm still only in Saigon."
The boys are hot.
I think Red Dawn put those lines in the movie to pay homage to the D-Day invasion.
