J Frame 442 Practice/Sight Picture

Discussion in 'GATE Self-Defense Forum' started by pointnopoint, Jul 18, 2012.

  1. Hey Mas,

Do you have any tips that you use to practice with a J Frame? The sight picture that seems to be working for me is with the bullet impacting just at the top of the front sight. I'm kinda in a pickle with this gun. I'm starting to shoot it better, but my reload times are pretty slow in comparison with my Kahr PM9. I'm left handed, so that makes a difference too.... Thank you so much for your time!

Sounds like you're doin' fine. Revolvers will always be slower to reload than autos. Practice with speedloaders is all I can suggest to quicken up the refilling time.

    best,
    Mas
