has now taken over my home page, which was Yahoo.

Chrome has just put up an adv. that I can't get rid of.
I've scanned deleted cookies etc., but w/o any effect
    to get rid of this.

Any help in getting this matter resolved would greatly
    be appreciated.

    Thank You..........

I can't help, but I can sympathize. When it first came out I got it like malware with some other piece of software that I actually wanted. One of those prechecked boxes down in the corner of the EULA. I was pissed. I always check now to make sure none of those "Also come with xxx" boxes are checked.

    Arrogant jerks.

Malwarebytes is your friend in that case.

If you are already knowledgeable and just venting don't mean to lecture.

I keep a copy of Microsoft Security Essentials, MalwareBytes and Rkill on a memory stick for days like this. Never know when you want to drop off the network and reinstall all of your anti virus/malware.

I'll google getting rid of google chrome. Oh, wait. . .

Chrome is the only stable browser on my POS Windows machine at work.

I hate Windows after owning a flawless iMac for awhile now.

You have Malware. Scan your PC with malwarebytes. You can download it easily (along with other handy apps) here: http://www.ninite.com
