it just turns me on....

  1. Mga kaibigan na gunnuts,I have a confession to make : I have utterly no reason to own a gun except that I enjoy shooting. i have really bad eyes and somewhat painful finger joints so i don't compete. And I spend my life living in or working in guarded condominiums and office buildings. I don't carry, as it is very improbable that I will be assaulted inside the Greenbelt Mall.

Short of preparing for the possible revolution/uprising of the masa, or engaging in office rage by wiping out all my fellow office workers, I just have no reason to own and fire guns except I LIKE IT.

Are there a lot of us like me who basically just LIKE IT? I feel a little guilty because occasionally I tell others- including my wife- that one must defend one's family and you can't rely on the police etc. and all that is true but hell I JUST LIKE IT (You only live once!)Ergo spending money on guns is kind of like adult entertainment, as I see it. (Hey, there are worse forms of adult entertainment.) Anybody else like this?

same here. it's a hobby to enjoy. it's not just learning how to shoot fast and accurately. the camaraderie you share with fellow gun nuts is first rate! i've met and made friends with a lot of great people who shares the same passion...

Guns are like toys for the big boys. If we are more lenient with our laws, we'll definitely have more guns (filling our cabinets). There are occassions when I'm bored, I just caress my guns and that's it. Well, guns are fun but secondary to sex.;f ;f

I have many reasons why I have guns and shoot, but the thing is, I don't need to have a reason at all! I can have a gun just because I feel like it at the time. ;f

The power and the smell of the gunpowder while firing is very addicting. :) And unlike sex you never get used to it ;)
  12. After serving in the Air Force for 20 years and having to qualify every year with the M-16, I missed the smell of fired gun powder and the excitement of seeing the bullet going where you want it to. I also do not carry, but feel comfortable having the guns around the house. Like antediluvianist, I just like it. When I was a kid, I used to go hunting with my Dad and I miss those days with him. He is gone now but I have all his guns to remind me of him and I shoot them occasionally. I love shooting my Glock 22 for the fun if it. It gives me a challenge to better myself over my last trip to the range.

How in heaven's name can people ignore a thread title like that?!;f

I love guns too since I was a kid (my first ever toy gun came from Antipolo, that rat-tat-tat wooden machine gun).
  16. Ever since I was a kid majority of my toys were guns. I had one favorite in particular, the German Luger. It was a model gun replicating the real thing. I like guns, pistol in particular , from .22 to .45cal.

Gun appreciation runs in the family , probably from my great grandfather , grandfather (who was a police officer) up to my father and now me. Just want to be familiar with as many as possible , disassembling & assembling gives me an inner joy very hard to explain. ^8 :)

We can blame our parents for this. Boys almost always were raised with toy guns on hand. The cheapest and easiest way to make sure that he grows up to be a "real man", right? I grew up with toy guns also, except we didn't buy them. We were not rich so I made my own wooden guns that shoots rubber bands with toy plastic cowboys and indians riding horses (you remember that!) and toy sodiers as targets.

Going back to the "real man" issue. My older brother was very fond of our older sisters' dolls and everybody thought that he'd grow up he's got sons and daughters everywhere!;f

Dude! Is this where I mention that my grandfather had three more children with his third wife? And he was over 80 when he married her. This was, of course, more than forty years before anyone ever heard of Viagra!

Was he an unusual specimen, or are all Filipinos just better at getting the job done than your average human? ;f
