    Federal XM127 12 Gauge 00 Buckshot—2 3/4" 9 pellets.

I bought 175 rounds, bulk in an ammo can. Muzzle velocity 1,325 FPS.

Is this quality/law enforcement type ammo?

    Thanks GT!

I looked quickly at Federal's website, and did not see an 'XM127'. In general, Federal's 'Tactical' load would be something like H132 (9pellet-00Buck, 1140 fps) or PD132. These are reduced recoil, for a quicker follow up shot, less shooter intimidation, etc. Presumably, some LE agencies might prefer these. I would for home defense, although PD156 is probably the intended civilian home defense load.

1325 fps seems to be a max velocity for Federal, so yours are on the hotter side. They come in a GI style can, so maybe they are trying to market them as the same thing they supply to the military (???).

I prefer low recoil and buffered, but it should work fine.
