Is there enough support for a Mississippi Club?

Discussion in 'Clubhouse Office' started by Gambino, Feb 18, 2005.

  1. I was just wondering if there was enough support for a Mississippi forum. It takes 50 votes from what I understand.

    So here goes.

    Hmmmmm.

Let's see how it's going: 2 out of 4 so far don't even live in Mississippi.

Over the years, I have come to the conclusion that Mississippians are not joiners. We tend to be loaners.

(It may come from some unpleasantries we had back in the 60's---the 1860s and the 1960s. We learned that you can never trust the other guy 100%.)

  5. I knew that it would be difficult but I had no idea that the response would be this low.

By the way, I'm in Vicksburg.

    I've been wondering . . . maybe we need a "Southern" forum---no Yankees allowed.

Not sure if you saw my post above yours:

But north/south threads generate so much hate mail it would probably be more trouble than it would be worth. Apparently yankees harbor lots of resentment over the way things turned out.;)

I know for sure that you cannot catch a butterfly with a net there. We had an old guy (internationally famous butterfly guy, dead now) who was stopped by a ranger for trying to catch a butterfly.

Possession or use of firearms or other weapons in all National Park System (NPS) areas is prohibited (except as otherwise provided in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 36 parts 7 (special regulations) and 13 (Alaska regulations). With rare exception (such as times when controlled hunting is allowed) weapons are to be dismantled completely and cased while visiting in NPS areas in the United States. In order to transport weapons through NPS areas they must be dismantled and adequately cased or packed in such a way as to prevent their use. Loaded weapons are subject to confiscation by park authorities.

    See Park Regulations

Re: Oopen carry. I use common sense and don't test the law. Even if it's legal, people (including LEOs) go crazy when they see a civilian wearing a gun in a public place.
