A retired police officer told me that since the departure of the .357 mag revolver cities have searched for ammo similiar in ballistics and found such performance in Corbon's 135gr. 40 caliber. Do any shooters have any information as to this round's street performance and ballistics?

Pretty similar, actually. In both cases you're likely to get a wound channel that's about ten inches deep, and very wide. The South Bend, Indiana police department had great luck with this .40 load over the years.
