I have read and heard some pretty bad things about I.O. rifles... *Though I have no first hand experience*.

If you're buying an IO don't do it on the internet. Buy one in person and check every inch.

Watch this vid: He goes through it step by step.

The ones I have seen at gunshows are crap for the asking price spend the extra 150 - 200 and get a better one.

I saw one of their other models(same thing, different furniture) in a gun store, and there was rust all over the receiver.

Please save your money. These rifles are not good. The QC is terrible and there are problems all over these rifles. I have lots of experience with IO. I am in month six of no rifle and no money refunded yet. I got mutiple malfunctioning rifles from them. Supposed to have a check in the mail. See "another IO AK47 issue" thread for details. scroll down to the bottom of the first page of threads on the Kalishnikov forum, possibly the second page. You will find it. If you just must buy it go with Royal Tiger, then you are dealing with IO Inc directly and the price is better and immediately get to deal with their tech department when your problems begin. I think introducing a third party will just prolong your agony.

I would buy a Century site unseen before an IO Inc hand picked....that should tell you something.

    wow, thats pretty bad.

  10. Joker One,

I just bought one from my local Big 5 sporting goods store and all respects mine is the same as the sample you showed except for the scope mount on the left side of the receiver. Atlantic claims 2" at 100 yards? Well perhaps thats true if you have it in a machine rest but at 100 that accuracy isn't necessary. My IO Casar so far can't print inside the black at 50 yards so I still need more bench rest time to see if I have any bad issues. So far reliability is good and that's a plus in my favor. Later on I may put on a red dot.

That’s a good looking gun and price. For what it’s worth, Atlantic Firearms has a rep that posts on akfiles.com.
