Chances are you've already seen these but it's time that we formally introduce them to the GlockTalk community. Ironically, we're introducing these at the same time that we're considering removing the stripped lower from our retail catalog. That said, we still have a number of these that we'd like to sell as stripped units before we go back to our "complete rifle only" configurations.

A number of these lowers have already been sent to GlockTalk management and without speaking for them directly, I think that it's safe to say that they were impressed with the quality offered. Keep an eye out GlockTalk promotions and fund raisers because rumor is that a few Six Sigma products will be offered as prizes.

Anyway, let's actually talk about our lower and what makes them different from other offerings.

At Six Sigma Arms we strive for perfection starting with the most critical component, the lower receiver. Regardless if you choose one of our custom guns, a fully assembled lower, or even a stripped lower, we want to ensure you enjoy years of accurate dependable service. There is extensive research put into every aspect of every component that goes into a Six Sigma Arms firearm, everything is done for a reason.

Six Sigma Arms lowers are forged from 7075-T6 aluminum which is the hardest aluminum alloy available. The dimensions are to the original blueprint to ensure compatibility with any aftermarket parts built within the original military specifications.

While maintaining compatibility with the original specification, several improvements have been made starting with the broaching technique used to shape the magazine well. While more costly and time consuming it results in a stronger finished product by eliminating stress risers and the possibility of warping, distortion or cracking. The bottom of the magazine well has a deep bevel to enhance reloading. Additionally, the front has a checkered pattern for enhanced grip with the off hand.

We have also added a take up screw under the pistol grip to adjust the pre-travel of the trigger. This allows you to adjust the trigger feel to your liking. The walls of the trigger group area have also been strengthened.

To eliminate the possibility of lack of concentricity in the mating of the receiver extension tube and the lower, the buffer tube threads are reamed and bored based on the top of the receiver ensuring proper alignment of the buffer tube to within one - ten thousandth of an inch. The top of the receiver is used as the starting point from which all other dimensions are measured. This eliminates the possibility of tolerance stacking. This method is more expensive and time consuming than the traditional method several other manufacturers use.

Before we machine the lowers, they are cryogenically treated because it improves the dimensional stability of the lower resulting in a more accurate machining process. After machining, the lower is cryogenically treated once more to relieve internal metal stress and increase wear resistance.

In the final finishing process, the lowers are stainless steel shot blasted and Level III hard anodized for an impressive durable rich black finish.

The extra time, effort, and expense we go through during the manufacturing process ensures the highest quality, durability and reliability possible. Our customers appreciate and demand the very best and we work very hard to meet those stringent demands.

These lowers are currently priced at $144.95 each plus $25 FedEx 2-day shipping or actual cost USPS Priority Mail to your FFL and can be ordered on our website. We are also offering an additional discount to any GlockTalk paid members (either PM ltpapin or myself for your discount code).

In addition to stripped lowers we can also provide either a "loaded lower", complete lower or complete custom build (we are primarily a full custom shop, just contact us for more information).

We have a number of other products available as well. Just check out our website for more information. Over the next week or so, we will announce each of our unique offerings individually.

Please note: Lower receivers REQUIRE an FFL. Please have a copy of your dealer's FFL either faxed to 612.326.4585 or emailed (as a PDF) to sales@sixsigmaarms.com. We MUST have this documentation on file prior to shipping your lower(s). Please contact us prior to purchase if you would like to pick up a lower in person.

Depending on availability we can accommodate whatever you'd like. In fact, custom orders are our specialty. Give us a call and we can discuss the details.

Sorry Joe, I didn't mean to ignore you. I didn't have email alerts for this thread on. Anyway, warranty is pretty standard for the industry. Lifetime on parts against breakage and normal use. Since this is a stripped lower, (obviously) we accept no liability for correct assembly.

We will be pulling these shortly from the retail catalog. There are still a few left if anyone is interested.

Did I mention we throw in a Enhanced Trigger guard at no cost with these which will save you a few $$ compared to other oversized trigger guards.
