    I just acquired a Glock 21 from a retired Chicago suburb cop. I have been shooting bullseye year round indoors 1x/mo and outdoors when the weather is decent also 1x/mo at the ISRA range.
    The ISRA range also conducts "combat shoots" a couple of times a year that looked very interesting.
    What equipment do I need to start?
    Are any modifications to my gun needed right away?
    And, I currently reload my own .45 for bullseye shooting.
    I like using Hogdon Clays powder. I also understand I need to use a FMJ bullet (not hard cast) in the Glock. Can I get some recommendations for a Clays load for IDPA / combat shooting?
    Thanks

    I use a Glock 21 for IDPA and my favorite load is 4.0 grains of Clays and a 230 gr FMJ bullet. It Chrono's 750-775fps. This load makes power requirements for CDP, SSP and ESP. I have used hardcast bullets with a Lonewolf barrel and they work fine, but the FMJ's are a lot cleaner shooting.

    Thanks a bunch. It's so hard to buy ammo around here I'm glad I can reload.
    OAL = 1.250, w/ .470 crimp?
