 Just aquired an Interarms Rossi M711 357 magnum 4" stainless. I was lured in by the pretty unfluted cylinder. Little did I know, that in true Rossi fashion, it aint worth nuthin! I did go shoot it today though and, in true 357 fashion, I was reminded of what its like to shoot a revolver! I thought that Federal 158gn @1240fps wouldn't be any big deal. It was manageable but certainly no slouch! I had to tell myself., I said, Self... now it has been about 28 years since I shot 357 from my excellent Security Six 4" that I paid $199 for brand new. So maybe my body was reacting the way it should(at 48) to shooting a Rossi 4" 357. On the positive side, I was reminded that I love 357 magnum! Made me realize that there really is a reason that 357 magnum has been such a success over the years. Anyway, if there is anyone that has experience with a Rossi M711, I would absolutely welcome the knowledge. I am very much wanting to replace the cheap rubber grips that Rossi put on these guns, so if anyone has any leads it would be greatly appreciated.
    Keep em' Smokin'!
P.S. My camera is just not high quality, so I did my best.

:snoopy:And, this is what it looks like since I got it back from the gunsmith.

Pictures and 357mag is one of my favorite calibers to shoot. Its just fun shooting high caliber gun sometimes.

The Rossi's could be pretty decent guns, I always liked that 720 (IIRC) in .44sp.

I had a 971 2". I carried it for a couple years. I think it was built every bit as good as the Smith & Wesson. I shot 125G. 357 mag with no trouble. Probably should have kept carrying it but, I'm always switching my revolvers around.
